Even The Old One Was Better...

I bought a Playstation 2 years ago, about 6 or so and that was a great gaming machine. Not only that, but it played DVD, and at the time, that was a huge deal! DVD players were going for hundreds if not thousands of dollars and you could pick up a PS2 for a couple hundred bucks and be able to play games on it! Awesome! I loved my PS2 so much, that when the first one died, I went out and bought another one to replace it. XBOX was just out at that time and I could have replaced my PS2 with that, but my PS2 was the best and I would never buy and XBOX.

Fast forward to last year. I guess that is rewind, but either was go there. PS3 is coming out but with a pretty steep price tag and XBOX 360 is looking like it might be the console to have. Most of my friends are on the 360 playing Call of Duty 4 and so I took the plunge and bought the thing. It was fun, for a while. Until the adolescent shithead kids started to drive me nuts. Going online is an exercise in patience and something else. I don't know what it is, but I'm pretty sure I don't have much of it. The controller for XBOX is huge, and I have pretty big hands. The machine is noisy. And I'm not even kidding, its like turn up the TV so you can't hear the thing humming. Most of the games are either shooters or for boys in their teens. Not really my scene or my age group.

So for the last 2 months or so, I have been trying to sell my XBOX 360 on Craigslist with little success. Seems nobody wants this thing. I spent about $900 in games and hardward, additional paddles, headsets, etc. Trying to sell it for $300 couldn't get a bite. Tells you where the market is going in consoles. So today I took the whole thing to GameStop and sold it for $250. With that I bought a PS3 and GT Prologue and GRID. I am a happy camper. I have my familiar PS back, it's so quiet that I keep looking up to make sure it's still working (even though I am playing a game) and it's just fucking sexy.

Whatever you do, don't buy an XBOX 360. You will wish you spent the money on a PS3 and kick yourself when have to sell the whole kit for 1/4 what you paid. Trust me.
